Overview
The London School of Economics' Generate team organised their first Summer Innovation Bootcamps, week-long programmes for 16-19-year-olds to discover their passion and turn ideas into real impact.
Students collaborate with LSE entrepreneurs and Forbes 30 Under 30 founders to solve real-world challenges, develop transferable skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.
Challenge
The challenge was to capture young people’s experience of realising they can shape their own thinking and future. We needed to show genuine collaboration between students, mentors, and founders and how it differs from the traditional exam-focused education.
The deliverables included a main landscape video, two social media clips, and photography to promote the 2026 bootcamps.
Approach
I shot across two separate days. On the first visit, I captured photographs, and on the second day, I shot interviews with students, founders, and LSE Generate's leadership, alongside key footage of workshops. I then edited the footage into a main landscape film, created two additional social media cuts and compiled the still photography for marketing usage.
Outcome
The main video became the primary marketing asset for the Summer Innovation Bootcamps, showcasing both the calibre of workshops and the genuine student experience. The social media clips drove engagement and helped recruit the 2026 cohorts. Photography was integrated into event promotion.
Together, the content reinforced the programme's goal of empowering young people to feel confident and excited as they begin to take control of their future.

"We loved working with Diego. He listens, offers advice, is professional and has a fantastic artistic eye."
