Restaurant Photography

Overview

Manuka Kitchen is an intimate bistro serving seasonal, award-winning modern European cuisine in the heart of Fulham, London. Since 2012, they have been serving dishes crafted from scratch using seasonal, responsibly sourced ingredients.

Challenge

Joseph, the owner, sought my help to improve the photography for the restaurant’s website, social media and printed material. The challenge was to portray the restaurant’s cosy atmosphere and delicious meal options, with warm, inviting visuals.

Approach

After hearing Joseph’s ideas, I designed a mood board with examples we used to agree on the tone and type of photography.

On the day of the shoot, we photographed a mix of images of the space, individual dishes and group shots. Joseph would give feedback while I was shooting on what he liked, and I adapted accordingly.

Outcome

Joseph was delighted with the photographs produced. The collection is now ready to be integrated across Manuka Kitchen's website, social media, and printed marketing materials, providing the cohesive visual identity he was looking for.
